New for 2012 - WEE BALL

Due to popular demand, Eastern is adding a Wee Ball League for the Spring 2012 season.  This introductory T-Ball League will be for beginner players ages 4 and 5 as of April 30, 2012.  The emphasis for the League will be to make the game of baseball fun for these kids.  Teams will be smaller to allow for more instruction. Five year old players can choose to play either Wee Ball or T-Ball.

For more information, email Bill Cegelka.

Celebrating 60 Years

In 2012, Eastern Little League will celebrate its 60th Anniversary of providing baseball to young boys and girls in Lexington.  Please join us this year as we celebrate this historic milestone.

Major League Expansion

At the August 17th Board meeting, the Board of Directors of Eastern Little League voted unanimously to expand the number of Major League teams to 10. This decision was made as a result of our rapid growth in number of players over the past few years. This growth demonstrates the strength of our League. The expansion will also continue to improve the quality of baseball at Eastern Little League.

Survey Results

Eastern Little League appreciates those individuals who submitted information on our recent parent survey. All comments have been tabulated and discussed by the Board of Directors. We will be working on implementing suggestions where we can continue to improve our League. Look for a revised Question and Answer section of the website where we will address questions that were raised. Thank you for helping to improve our League.

2012 Bat Rules

Little League International has posted an announcement regarding upcoming changes to the bat rules and specifications for the 2012 season.  Little League is taking this step, before the rule books are actually published in December, to give parents and leagues a timely "heads up."

This is NOT a decision made by Eastern Little League. However, ELL is required to comply with the new rule.
